"SMASH Lahti launches a new normal in the history of SMASH "  

At the beginning of 2021, we are one step closer to the ”new normal”. I am confident to promote sport and physical activity health of the increased importance of both physical and mental well-being.  

The potential of technology to make the above goals easier and more achievable is at the heart of SMASH. That is why we want to give our support and network to start-ups and new innovations. It’s always just as great to hear and see new innovations and ideas turn into practice.  

This year SMASH will continue in the familiar path by bringing all SMASH friends virtually together in January. With the second ever SMASH Lahti will also begin the “new normal” in the history of SMASH as our headquarters moved to Lahti at the end of last year. And now as I am stepping into the CEO's shoes, we are on our way to new encounters with the well-known SMASH quality and goals.

We want to continue to bring together sports technology innovations as well as investors, start-ups, companies and other players either remotely, as a hybrid and as soon as possible face to face.

"SMASH Lahti käynnistää uuden normaalin SMASHin historiassa"

Vuoden 2021 alkaessa olemme askeleen lähempänä uutta normaalia. Olen luottavainen urheilun ja terveyttä edistävän liikunnan entistä suuremmasta merkityksestä ihmisten hyvinvoinnin ja henkisen vireyden ylläpitäjänä ja parantajana.

Teknologian tuomat mahdollisuudet tehdä edellä mainituista tavoitteista helpompaa ja paremmin saavutettavaa ovat keskiössä Smashin ja meidän smashilaisten ajattelussa. Siksi haluamme antaa start-upeille ja uusille innovaatiolle tukemme ja verkostomme käyttöön. On aina yhtä hienoa kuulla ja nähdä uusien innovaatioiden ja ideoiden muuttumista käytäntöön.  

SMASH jatkaa vuonna 2016 alkanutta taivaltaan kokoamalla kaikki SMASHin ystävät virtuaalisesti yhteen heti tammikuussa. Järjestyksessään toisen SMASH Lahden myötä käynnistyy ”uusi normaali” myös SMASHin historiassa. Konsernin pääkonttorihan muutti jo viime vuoden lopulla Lahteen Start Hubiin ja nyt astuessani toimitusjohtajan saappaisiin olemme matkalla kohti uusia kohtaamisia, tutulla SMASHin laadulla ja tavoitteilla. Haluamme edelleen yhdistää urheiluteknologian innovaatiot sekä investorit, start-upit, yritykset ja muut toimijat yhteisen pöydän ja tavoitteiden ääreen, joko etänä, hybridinä ja mahdollisimman pian myös kasvotusten.
